German Artist Marita Vollborn Presents Bronze Sculpture „ARES“ at Chianciano Biennale 2026

Chianciano Terme, Italy – German sculptor Marita Vollborn has been selected as a featured artist for the Chianciano Biennale 2026. She will exhibit her bronze sculpture „ARES“ at the international exhibition in Tuscany. The ninth edition of the Biennale runs from August 15 to 29, 2026, at the Chianciano Art Museum and various historic galleries in the town.

Born in 1965 in Erfurt, Marita Vollborn works as a sculptor, journalist, and author. Her artistic practice is characterized by expressive, often fragmented forms and a profound engagement with human and societal themes. The sculpture „ARES“ forms part of her oeuvre, which includes bronze works as well as other materials and digital art.

The Chianciano Biennale is a prominent platform for contemporary art in Europe. This year, around 300 international artists were selected for the exhibition, which links modern creativity with the rich cultural heritage of Tuscany.

Vollborn’s participation provides her work with significant international visibility. The bronze sculpture „ARES“ exemplifies her critical and creative approach, translating emotions and societal questions into sculptural form.
